As the offseason starts to get its feet underneath it, many within the baseball world are already looking forward to the future, and with the future comes new players to the league. Although there are plenty of players eyeing spots on Major League rosters, there are a few unknowns from professional baseball in Japan who are looking to make the leap to MLB.

On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman are joined by Japanese baseball expert Yuri Karasawa of Yakyu Cosmopolitan as they discuss all the potential players from the NPB who might be making the leap over to the States next season, including highly touted third baseman Teruaki Sato. They also discuss the rookie seasons of Munetaka Murakami and Kazuma Okamoto after they joined the league last season and where Seiya Suzuki could sign in free agency.

Later in the show, Jake and Jordan talk about the Houston Astros interviewing Albert Pujols, Morgan Ensberg, and Brad Ausmus for their managerial position and whether anyone else could possibly land the job. The guys then make their picks for the first offseason edition of The Good, The Bad & The Uggla, which features Cam Schlittler’s hairstyle and a team in LIDOM going streaking.
