The Georgia Bulldogs are the No. 3 team in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll. Georgia is the top-ranked team in the SEC, but the Bulldogs won’t have an easy path back to the SEC championship in Atlanta, Georgia.

Georgia and the rest of the SEC will play nine conference games for the first time in history. UGA has to face four ranked teams during the 2026 college football season including three top-11 opponents.

Georgia’s first game against a ranked opponent is at home against the No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners on Sept. 26, which is Georgia’s SEC home opener and the first time Oklahoma will play Georgia since joining the SEC. Georgia’s next game against a ranked foe comes two weeks later on the road against the No. 11 Alabama Crimson Tide. Georgia went 1-1 against Alabama in 2025, but got the last laugh with a dominant 28-7 SEC championship win over the Crimson Tide.

Georgia’s third game against ranked opponent is another rematch. The Bulldogs play on the road the No. 10 Ole Miss Rebels in the programs’ first meeting since the Sugar Bowl. Georgia and Ole Miss met twice in 2025 with both teams winning once. Ole Miss won the more meaningful of the two games and eliminated Georgia from the College Football Playoff.

After playing Ole Miss on Nov. 7, Georgia faces the No. 25 Missouri Tigers at home on Nov. 14. In addition to playing four ranked opponents, Georgia plays Florida, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn and Georgia Tech, who all received votes in the Coaches Poll. The only Georgia Power Four opponent to not get votes is the Arkansas Razorbacks, who are Georgia’s SEC opener.
