FSU offers unranked 2027 defensive lineman in Mississippi

· · 2 min read

Florida State was able to start its season with a victory over the New Mexico State Aggies. They have plenty of recruits in attendance to witness it, and one of them was 2027 defensive lineman Jeremiah Mark, who is an unranked prospect out of Picayune, Mississippi.

It was the first trip to Tallahassee for the 6-foot-5, 275-pounder. On Sunday, it was clear that things went extremely well on the visit. Mark announced that he received an offer from FSU, thanking multiple coaches when he broke the news.

“#AGTG!!! After a great game day visit with @Coach_Knighton @Fertitta_Gabe I’m blessed to receive an offer from @FSUFootball!!!! @Coach_Norvell 🙌🏽,” Mark said on social media.

FSU will need to keep recruiting Mark very heavily. That’s because although his offer sheet isn’t long, he has some top-flight programs that are interested. The Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, and Ole Miss Rebels have also extended scholarships to him. He also has game visits to all four of those schools.

Mark has several other programs that he’s taking game visits to as well. That list includes the Texas Longhorns, Florida Gators, Texas A&M Aggies, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. However, Florida State will get another opportunity to dazzle Mark on Halloween when he returns to Tallahassee for their battle against the Clemson Tigers.

The Seminoles have four-star Sam LeJeune and three-star Eric Vaulx Jr. committed on the defensive line in the 2027 cycle. They’re clearly looking to add more firepower with Mark now being a key target.
