FSU in 'constant contact' with in-state quarterback

Florida State‘s 2028 quarterback recruiting board is starting to take shape, and one of their top in-state targets is Brady Quinn, a four-star prospect from Hollywood, Florida.

The Seminoles offered him a scholarship in October of 2025 and are battling several schools for the 6-foot-1, 195-pounder. While he has offers from teams across the country, he admitted to Zach Blostein of 247Sports that several schools are standing out in his recruitment, including FSU

“Some of the schools that I’m in constant contact with, and that mean a lot, I would say are Florida, Florida State, SMU, Purdue, Indiana, and UCLA,” he said.

Quinn is ranked as the No. 314 overall player and No. 22 quarterback in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 45 player from Florida, making him the highest-ranked uncommitted quarterback in the Sunshine State.

While the two sides are in frequent communication, FSU will need to have a successful season on the field or have a new head coach that he is familiar with to have a shot at landing him when he commits following the 2026 season.

“Probably December or January,” he said of a commitment timeline. “Because I want to take all the game day visits. With the way the college football landscape is, you never know what’s going to happen in six months from now. So, like, maybe a school I really like, the coach gets fired. Or like FSU — right now it’s obviously a little shaky, but if they have a really good season, or someone like [Rhett] Lashlee goes there, it would change a lot.”

As a freshman, he completed 55.7% of his passes for 2,549 yards, 33 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He was even better as a sophomore, completing 60.4% of his attempts for 2,960 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He added 275 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He will spend his junior season at Chaminade Madonna.
