Friday Presidents Cup tee times: Foursomes pairings and matchups for Sept. 25

The Presidents Cup continues Friday, September 25 with the first set of foursomes matches at Medinah Country Club. The U.S. currently leads the Internationals, 3-2. Here’s the full list of matchups, tee times and how to watch.

Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns are riding high off their first win together at either a Presidents Cup or Ryder Cup. That momentum led U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker to pair them together again, this time against Corey Conners and Cup rookie Nick Taylor.

Another rookie, American Jackson Koivun, will sit out Friday’s matches after winning his first point alongside Justin Thomas on Thursday. Thomas will be paired with Cameron Young on Friday, and the duo will face Adam Scott and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

The only completely fresh pair for either the U.S. or Internationals on Saturday will be Russell Henley and Jacob Bridgeman, with the latter being a Cup rookie. Neither played on Thursday. Together, they will face Sungjae Im and Hideki Matsuyama.

The final foursomes match of the day is sure to bring the fireworks as Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim – fresh off a 3 and 2 win over Chris Gotterup and Patrick Cantlay on Thursday – will face Cantlay and Xander Schauffele. This is the third time these four have faced off at a Presidents Cup. In 2022, the Kims beat Cantlay and Schauffele 1 up in Saturday afternoon fourballs. The Americans got their revenge in 2024 though, when Cantlay and Schauffele beat the Kims 1 up in Saturday afternoon foursomes.

The key differentiator could be the format. When paired together, Cantlay and Schauffele are 4-1 in Presidents Cup foursomes appearances, compared to 1-3 in fourballs.

Also known as alternate shot, each team consists of two players using one ball per team. They take alternate shots until the hole is completed. Team members take turns in teeing off on each hole, so one player will tee off on odd holes, and the other will tee off on even holes.
