Four Georgia HS football teams rank in Maxpreps Top 25. Who's No. 1?

Four Georgia high school football teams are in the Maxpreps Preseason Top 25, and Georgia high school football fans will not be too surprised.

Georgia blue bloods Buford, Grayson and Carrollton are featured while Creekside, a new dominant team for the 2020s, also cracks the Top 25.

Here’s a look at national rankings and where the Georgia teams stand.

Coming off its first state title since 2021, Buford ranks No. 7 in the country. One of the nation’s most dominant teams, Buford has won 14 state titles in the 2000s.

Coming off a quarterfinal run last year, Grayson ranks No. 13 in the country two years after its last state title. The Rams have four state titles since 2011.

Ranking 20th is Carrollton while Creekside ranks No. 22. Carrollton has reached the finals in three of four seasons, but hasn’t claimed a state title since 1998. Creekside won the Class 4A state title last year and claimed another in 2013.
