Former Werder striker Marvin Ducksch open to Birmingham exit and Germany return
Birmingham City forward Marvin Ducksch would like to return to Germany before the summer transfer window closes, according to Sky Germany.
The report suggests that the English Championship club are willing to let the 32-year-old forward leave for a fee of just €500,000. Bild previously reported that he could even leave as a free agent.
Ducksch, who is under contract in Birmingham until 2028, reportedly earns €2 million per year.
Several clubs from both the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga are said to be monitoring the striker’s situation. He has also attracted interest from the United States, but has so far rejected all approaches from MLS clubs.
Ducksch was a key player for Werder Bremen between 2021 and 2025, racking up 54 goals and 40 assists in 134 appearances.
He made his Germany debut in November 2023 and has featured twice for his country.
