Former Vanderbilt Commodores quarterback Diego Pavia is taking the next step in his professional career. He is in negotiations with the United Football League (UFL), he announced Tuesday in a post on X.
The upcoming UFL draft is set for Wednesday, November 18, in St. Louis.
Players do not need to be signed to a UFL roster to be draft-eligible. When a player gets drafted, that team has the right to negotiate a deal with the potential player.
appreciate everyone reaching out with everything on my career. my agent @malkikawa and the UFL are currently in negotiations to make this happen! whatever team I end up at, I can promise you one thing- You will get everything I got 💯

Pavia went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft before being signed by the Ravens as an undrafted free agent (UDFA). The Ravens waived him on July 23, and he did not make the 90-man roster.
At Vanderbilt, Pavia was the 2025 Heisman Trophy runner-up and led the Commodores to back-to-back winning seasons. He finished his time in Nashville with 5,832 passing yards and 49 passing touchdowns, completing 65% of his passes, and added 1,662 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns.
Pavia looks to prove the NFL made a mistake by not drafting him, and he’s looking for another chance.
