Former Gators OL O'Cyrus Torrence lands massive extension from Bills

The Buffalo Bills and former Florida offensive guard O’Cyrus Torrence agreed to a four-year, $78.4 million extension on Friday. The deal promises Torrence $46 million in guaranteed money and keeps him in Orchard Park through 2030.

A second-round selection in 2023, the 6-foot-5-inch, 330-pound lineman becomes the seventh-highest-paid guard in the NFL. Upon arrival in Buffalo, Torrence quickly became a mainstay on the Bills’ front. Since being taken No. 59 overall, he’s appeared in every regular-season and postseason game.

Over the first three seasons of his career, Torrence has been incredibly durable, playing in over 97% of the team’s offensive snaps. In 2023 and 2024, the ex-Gator helped anchor a line that allowed the fewest sacks; James Cook led the league in rushing during this stint.

The Hammond, Louisiana, native spent just one season at Florida, during which he earned consensus All-American honors, becoming the first offensive guard in program history to earn that distinction. During the 2022 season, Torrence started 11 games and did not allow a sack or quarterback hit. He also went 698 snaps without allowing a hurry or committing a penalty.

“He deserves every penny,” said Bills quarterback Josh Allen. He went on to say that Torrence is the ultimate teammate and praised his reliability while hinting at untapped potential.
