Former FSU baseball player gets promoted to Double-A

FSU baseball players have gone on to have successful careers in the big leagues, and Marco Dinges of the Milwaukee Brewers was recently promoted to Double-A and will now play for the Biloxi Shuckers as he climbs towards the MLB.

Dinges was ranked as the No. 10 prospect for the Brewers. With the High-A team, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, he posted a .855 OPS.

Drafted in 2024 with the 123rd overall pick, Dinges has quickly established himself as a good-to-great minor league player. In 220 at-bats, he has 44 runs, 59 hits, and 11 home runs. With an on-base percentage of .391 in 2026, Dinges has been successful in the batter’s box.

Dinges transferred in to FSU from nearby Tallahassee State College, and in 2024, he averaged .323 with 15 home runs. At TSC, he was named First Team All-Panhandle Conference twice.

Dinges will look to build off his strong performances in High-A, and his next opportunity with Biloxi will be against the Montgomery Biscuits on July 28 in a four-game series.
