Former Duke standout, teen star team up to win LPGA Dow Championship

When it comes to storylines, the Dow Championship overflowed. From 65-year-old Juli Inkster making the cut and history to a very pregnant Madelene Sagstrom sneaking into the top 10. From first-time hopefuls to a dominant world No. 1, there was plenty to entertain at the LPGA’s only team event.

In the end, a couple of Americans on contrasting journeys enjoyed the best week of their careers, becoming the first first-time winners of the 2026 season. Yana Wilson and Gina Kim could hardly believe it when they wrapped up a two-stroke victory at Midland (Michigan) Country Club.

“I remember we walked down 18 just now and we were like, does this feel weird to you?” said 19-year-old Wilson, the first teenager to win on tour in three years.
