Former Clemson star DeAndre Hopkins expected to join Georgia Tech staff, per report

Former Clemson football star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has found his next career move.

Hopkins, who played at Clemson from 2010-12, is expected to join the offensive coaching staff at Georgia Tech, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

In his time at Clemson, Hopkins amassed 3,020 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns. He holds program records for receiving touchdowns in a single season (18) and career. He ranks No. 2 in single-season and career receiving yards. He was inducted into Clemson’s Hall of Fame in 2025.

After his career at Clemson, Hopkins was drafted No. 27 overall by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He later played for the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs and, most recently, the Baltimore Ravens.

After not being signed this offseason, Hopkins was seen helping out during the New England Patriots’ training camp. However, coach Mike Vrabel announced earlier this week that Hopkins would no longer be working with the team.
