As the Patriots prepare to face the Bills in a critical early-season matchup, one former Buffalo player isn’t ready to let go of the past.

Longtime NFL safety Micah Hyde criticized Patriots fans, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski on the “Buffalo Plus” podcast, perhaps adding some fuel to the fire for New England before a highly-anticipated showdown.

Hyde, who last appeared in an NFL game in 2023, spent seven seasons with the Bills, including three when Brady was on the Patriots.

Here’s a closer look at Hyde’s comments ahead of Sunday’s game.

Micah Hyde Blasts Patriots Fans

Hyde isn’t an active player anymore, but his hatred of the Patriots hasn’t diminished after spending seven years in the same division. Not only did Hyde come for Brady and Gronkowski, but he ripped New England fans as well.

“I’m just not a Patriot fan. Their fans are terrible,” Hyde said. “Can’t stand them. I will never step back in that stadium ever again. Ever.

Micah Hyde HATED seeing Tom Brady and Gronk on his TV calling the #Bills game.

… and he still HATES the Patriots.

Hyde called Patriots fans “entitled” and said they threw food at the Bills when they would play at Gillette Stadium.

Hyde also took issue with Brady calling Bills games as part of his Fox Sports duties.

“Tom Brady calling Bills games, I’m not a fan of, and Gronk on the sideline … What are they doing calling a Bills game?” Hyde asked, later hinting that his problems with Gronkowski stem from the former tight end’s hit on then-Bills CB Tre’Davious White that left White concussed.

After the Patriots ended the Bills’ run of AFC East titles in 2025, it’s apparent the rivalry has been ignited again as both teams set their expectations high.
