Forest boss Glasner ‘relaxed’ ahead of Spurs clash

Oliver Glasner insisted he is “relaxed” about Nottingham Forest’s form ahead of their Premier League clash with Tottenham.
Forest have won just one point from their opening two league games in 2026-27, losing their opener 1-0 to Leeds United before holding Liverpool to a 2-2 draw last weekend.
The Tricky Trees were also knocked out of the EFL Cup in the second round by Leeds, with Glasner still waiting for his first competitive win at the club.
Forest have won just one of their last 12 Premier League home games (D7 L4), beating Burnley 4-1 in April.
Nevertheless, Glasner is not concerned about Forest’s form, despite a tough test against Tottenham next up.
“The next opportunity is on Saturday. At the end, the approach is always the same – go out and win the game. Especially in front of your fans at home,” said Glasner.
“But sometimes, if you want it too much, it goes the opposite way. Play the best football we can play, and then we have the best chance to get the win.
“The most important thing is not to think about records too much in a positive or negative way. It can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
“I am quite relaxed about this negative record, and I hope you won’t have to ask me about it next time!”

Spurs are also searching for their first win of the season; they are bottom of the Premier League after a 3-0 defeat to Brentford and a 2-0 loss to Newcastle United.
Spurs, who have left Richarlison out of their Premier League squad ahead of a potential move to Trabzonspor, were able to bring in two more signings before the transfer deadline, one of which saw Mykhailo Mudryk join on loan from Chelsea.
Mudryk and Roberto De Zerbi worked together at Shakhtar Donetsk, and the winger is relishing the chance to work with his former boss again.
“I’m so excited to reunite with Roberto De Zerbi. He’s my football father,” Mudryk told SPURSPLAY.
“I believe in him, I trust him. If he needs me, I’m always here. I know what he wants from me, and with him, I’m always feeling I’m improving.
“He can take out the best of you, and he puts you on the right way to develop your skills, your game, such a smart, offensive and dominant type of playing, which suits all attacking players.
“He demands from his players their best. That’s why you can play on your best qualities. I think he was such a crucial coach in my career, which embraced my potential, but not 100%. I think he knows how to do it even more.”
Nottingham Forest – Morgan Gibbs-White
Only Bruno Fernandes (22) has been involved in more Premier League goals in 2026 than Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White (17 – 13 goals, four assists).
Gibbs-White’s 13 goals are the most scored in the competition so far this year.
Dominic Solanke has been involved in six goals in four league appearances against Forest at the City Ground (four goals, two assists).
That includes his only senior career hat-trick to date (for Bournemouth in December 2023).
Forest have won their last four Premier League matches against Spurs, though they have never won five league games in a row against them.
Spurs won 2-0 in both 2022-23 and 2023-24 at the City Ground in the Premier League against Forest – however, they have lost their last two trips in 2024-25 (0-1) and 2025-26 (0-3).
Spurs are one of three teams still without a Premier League goal in 2026-27, along with Aston Villa and Coventry City.
Spurs have not gone three league games without a goal since November 2021, while only in 1974-75 have they failed to score in their opening three in a league season.
Forest boss Glasner went 12 Premier League games unbeaten with Crystal Palace between April and September 2025; however, since October, only Scott Parker (18) has lost more Premier League games than the Austrian (16).
