Florida State offers 2028 edge in South Carolina after recent visit

It was a busy weekend for the Florida State Seminoles as they hosted a ton of prospects for official visits. They also helped their first individual camp of the summer, and 2028 edge Jay’Sean Culp was in attendance.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder was a standout over the weekend as he performed well during drills. So much so that FSU extended a scholarship offer to the Rock Hill High School star.

“Blessed to receive an offer from Florida State!! #agtg✝️🙏🏾 #seminoles,” Culp announced on social media.

Culp played his sophomore season at Lewisville High School in Richburg, South Carolina. He was an absolute monster as he tallied 120 tackles (all solo), 36 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, 21 quarterback hurries, five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups. For his efforts, he was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year by the South Carolina High School League.

In April, Culp visited the Georgia Bulldogs for a spring practice. Plus, he’s received offers from the Boston College Eagles and Memphis Tigers as well. It’s clear that his recruitment is picking up, and FSU will need to keep in close contact as he has two more seasons of high school football left to play.

Culp isn’t ranked at the moment, but that’ll change in the next few months.
