The Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, described the donation as a significant investment in literacy, values-based education, and the overall development of Nigerian children.

According to the minister, the books were produced through a partnership between the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) and the Merck Foundation and will be distributed to public schools nationwide.

He said the publications address critical issues, including girl-child education, child protection, healthy living, gender-based violence, reproductive health, social responsibility, and character development.
