FG seeks wider participation in national digital education database

He disclosed that the NBS would integrate its statistical systems with the education database to improve national education statistics, planning and policy implementation.

Adeniran added that the bureau would also deploy household surveys and Small Area Estimation data to validate information generated through the platform, particularly in tracking out-of-school children and strengthening data accuracy.

He expressed confidence that stronger collaboration between the NBS and the Federal Ministry of Education would provide policymakers with more reliable evidence for resource allocation, programme evaluation and long-term education planning.

Officials at the launch expressed optimism that greater participation by states, local governments and private schools would transform DNEMIS into Nigeria’s most comprehensive education database and strengthen data-driven decision-making across the country’s education system.
