Feyenoord’s Givairo Read attracts Premier League interest

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are continuing to monitor Givairo Read as they assess potential long-term solutions at right-back, although they could face competition from both Arsenal and Manchester City for the highly rated Feyenoord youngster.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding start to the season in the Netherlands, helping Feyenoord remain unbeaten while contributing five assists in his first seven Eredivisie appearances. His attacking output and rapid development have attracted growing interest from several Premier League clubs.

Read came close to leaving Feyenoord during the summer, with Nottingham Forest submitting a bid and Everton also exploring a move. However, no transfer materialised, allowing him to remain in Rotterdam and continue his progress.

Liverpool’s interest is reportedly driven by uncertainty at right-back. Jeremie Frimpong has struggled to produce consistent performances, while Ronald Araujo, currently on loan from Barcelona, has recently been used in the role despite being viewed primarily as a centre-back.

The Reds could make a move for Read in January already.
