FCT residents feeling democratic dividends under Tinubu, opposition using his roads – Wike
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Monday declared that President Bola Tinubu would ensure that the dividends of democracy reaches all Nigerians and areas of the capital city.
This is as Wike said the opposition and non-politicians now use roads constructed by Tinubu’s administration.
The Minister spoke during the official commissioning of the newly rehabilitated and expanded roads from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction including other Adjoining Roads in Karu area of Abuja.
The road was part of projects to mark Tinubu’s third year anniversary and was the president was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Wike said: “I don’t know who does not like good things, it doesn’t matter the political party you belong to, it doesn’t matter the association you belong to but when you see good thing, say this is a good thing.
“Whether anybody hates you or not, you can’t hate this road, the opposition use this road, those in government use this road, those not politicians use this road. This is what development is supposed to be.
“I don’t know what else anybody will want, we know that government is a continuum, somebody sent me a text, how he recollect this road, from Nyaya to Mararaba axis, that it was a traffic problem.
“He stayed here because the rent was low because there was no road but today look at construction everywhere. His fear now is that having completed this job, his landlord had written to him increasing rent.
“We are happy and we want to assure every community and district that under the administration of Bola Tinubu and Shettima, we will make sure that development and dividends of democracy will touch every area.
“Be assured that all we want from you is to continue to pray and support this government.”
