Fantasy Football AFC East Snapshot: 1 key nugget from each team going into 2026

NFL training camp season has arrived. Prepare for the onslaught of information, rumors and hype pieces. But fantasy football managers shouldn’t be wary of the influx of info — Scott Pianowski has you covered with one key nugget to know for every team in each division. Next up is the AFC East.

Other than De’Von Achane, the Dolphins are essentially a fantasy wasteland. Achane is the only player likely to command a top-100 pick and the receiver room is lacking impact players. But let’s leave the light on for new QB Malik Willis. Although Willis has just six NFL starts to his name, he averaged a handy 44.8 rushing yards per game in those starts, with six rushing touchdowns. In any format where you need to roster 2-3 quarterbacks, Willis makes sense as a plausible upside pick in the later rounds, no matter what his passing stats wind up being. Running quarterbacks are a gift from the fantasy gods. 

The early draft market will allow you to land Breece Hall just inside the top 40, roughly the 17th running back off the board. I could see him turning into a value pick. New York has an underrated offensive line, and it’s possible last year’s shipwrecked passing game will be at least modestly improved. No one expects the Jets to be a winning team, but any step forward from last year will probably boost Hall’s bottom line. I’ll sign off on him as a reasonable fourth-round pick. 

It’s no fun to put Drake Maye in the fade column, but we have to be mindful of regression. Even with receiver reinforcements, it’s hard to imagine him matching last year’s dream efficiency (8.9 YPA, 72% completion rate). The Patriots also have a much harder schedule in 2026. Maye’s Yahoo ADP stands at 44, a spot where I’m more likely to take a running back or a receiver. Quarterback is historically deep this year, so consider playing the value game. 

Dalton Kincaid had a notable efficiency spike in his third season, bumping to 14.6 YPC and scoring five times on just 49 targets. Alas, he was only on the field for 38% of the offensive snaps, as the Bills did their best to manage Kincaid through a pesky knee injury. The Bills need dynamic downfield threats in their passing game — even if newcomer D.J. Moore has a seamless transition — and the team would love for Kincaid to settle in as the No. 2 target. Kincaid generally slides outside the top 100 in Yahoo drafts, presenting an interesting buying opportunity.
