FanDuel opening odds: Washington (3-3) at Purdue (3-3)

Well don’t look now, but Purdue football might be having a moment.

After a heart wrenching 1-3 start that featured a back breaking overtime loss to Wake Forest, and a familiar drubbing from in-state rival Notre Dame, Barry Odom has his Purdue Boilermakers back at .500 with two convincing wins in two weeks including an on the road victory at Illinois and a 41-13 dismantling of Minnesota at home.

The Minnesota win might be Purdue’s best football performance in what’s been a long last four seasons. Odom has his defense playing better after a porous start, and has his offense working on all levels with its play makers shining and Ryan Browne tossing for over 1,500 yards, completing nearly 70% of his passes, and holding a 9 touchdowns to 1 interception mark for the season.

Washington is working opposite of that. After starting the season knocking off in-state rival Washington State, it took on two directional schools and got to 3-0 on the season before getting into Big Ten play.

The Big Ten has not been so gentle with the Huskies.

Washington has now lost three straight games to start its conference season losing to Minnesota, USC, and Iowa.

Washington’s offense has been incredibly consistent scoring 24, 25, and 24 points, but its defense has struggled to rise to the occasion.

It will now head to what should be a rocking Ross-Ade on a Friday night.

Which is how we have gotten here. Purdue football is a favorite in a Big Ten game in October.

Head on over now to FanDuel, where you’ll see Purdue is a 3.5 favorite over the Washington Huskies.

FanDuel is the place to place all your college football bets.

Is this resurgance by Purdue real? Will Purdue move to just two games away from bowl eligible on Friday night under the lights?
