Falcons reveal uniforms for Week 2 matchup vs. Panthers

The Atlanta Falcons lost a close game to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, but the 2026 NFL season is far from over and it’s too early for any team to be written off. This is especially true in the NFC South, where all four teams currently sit at 0-1.

In Week 2, the Falcons will look to bounce back against the division-rival Carolina Panthers at home. Bryce Young and company have won three straight games against Atlanta, sweeping the season series in 2025.

The last time these two teams faced off, Michael Penix Jr. tore his ACL and the Falcons blew an 11-point halftime lead. There’s a chance that Penix could make his 2026 debut on Sunday, but we’ll have to wait and see what the team decides.

Either way, the Falcons will be wearing their new red uniforms for the first time in an NFL regular season game on Sunday. Check out the team’s Week 2 jersey combo below, as shared by the Falcons’ social media account.

With Tua Tagovailoa missing the first two days of practice this week, Cooper Rush will likely get the start if Penix still isn’t ready. Check back Friday afternoon for the team’s final injury report, including Week 2 game designations.

Sunday’s game officially starts at 1 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
