The Egypt international is clearly emerging as one of Spurs’ top targets in attack as we get closer to the transfer deadline, and it seems it could be done soon.

“Tottenham, calm and confident to get Omar Marmoush deal done by the start of next week,” Romano posted.

This comes following Romano also reporting that Tottenham’s move for Man City’s Savinho was at the ‘here we go‘ stage, which more often than not means it’s basically a done deal, pending official confirmation from the clubs.

Tottenham could do with more signings after awful start

Tottenham fans will have been encouraged by the club spending big money on exciting signings like Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke earlier this summer.

Still, it seems clear more new names are needed after an awful start to the season yesterday, as the north Londoners lost 3-0 to Brentford.

Roberto De Zerbi managed to keep Spurs up last season as they survived relegation on the final day, but it looks like they could now be preparing for another long and challenging campaign.

Still, once the new signings settle in we could see improvement, and it’s also easy to imagine two top attacking talents like Marmoush and Savinho making a big impact.

Marmoush shone at former club Eintracht Frankfurt and has been a little unfortunate not to get more playing time at City, so there’s every chance he could revive his career and become a top Premier League player in the right conditions.
