Ex-MK Dons winger Leko signs for Penybont

Penybont have signed former MK Dons winger Jonathan Leko.

The 27-year-old former West Bromwich Albion youth player joined the Dons in January 2023 from Birmingham City.

The following January, Leko was loaned out to Burton Albion but suffered a serious knee injury on his debut that sidelined him for 16 months.

Leko was released by the League One Dons this summer and had been training with Notts County before his move to Penybont.

The former England Under-20 international could make his debut in Friday night’s Cymru Premier home game at Bryntirion Park against Flint Town United (19:45 BST), or Monday’s trip to Cambrian United (14:30 BST).
