Ex-lawmaker, Kangiwa withdraws from Kebbi North senatorial primary

Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Hussaini Suleiman Kangiwa, has withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial primary election for Kebbi North scheduled for May 18, 2026.

Kangiwa announced his withdrawal in a letter addressed to the leadership of the APC, stating that the decision was taken in line with the directive of the party leadership.

He said the move was informed by his commitment to party discipline, unity, and respect for constituted authority.

The former lawmaker noted that stepping down from the race was necessary to promote cohesion and stability within the party ahead of the elections.

Kangiwa also thanked party members, supporters, and members of his campaign team for their support during the consultation period leading to the primary election.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and pledged continued participation in party activities.

He further urged his supporters across Kebbi North to remain calm, united, and committed to the collective interest of the party.
