Espirito Santo hints at more West Ham signings
Nuno Espirito Santo admits West Ham’s transfer business has taken longer than hoped but is confident their patience will be rewarded.
The Hammers have been active in the transfer market but have taken their time to secure their preferred targets, with just Edvin Austbø becoming the latest addition to the squad.
“The transfer window was not perfect about the timing, but understandable,” Espirito Santo said.
“We took some time, we were patient to try and choose our targets. It could be faster, but this is what it is.
“We still have two days to go, we have players coming in, so we are building.”
West Ham’s squad could yet undergo further changes before the deadline, with Nottingham Forest defender Morato also a target.
“The more important thing is that after the first of September, we take a look at how balanced and how strong we are to deal with the competition,” he added.
“You have to come to the conclusion that things take time.”
