Espí talks after his debut for Real Madrid: “It’s indescribable”

Real Madrid‘s newest signing Carlos Espí made his debut for the club during Saturday’s preseason friendly against Fiorentina and shared some thoughts on Real Madrid TV right after the game.

“Making my debut today with Real Madrid is unique. It’s an enormous pride, and I’m very happy. It’s indescribable, everything has happened in just two days: I signed, trained, and now I’ve already made my debut,” he said.

When asked about Mourinho’s instructions before he entered the game, Espí said the following.

“Since the score was tied, he told me to stay in the box, try to bring balls down, and play into space. To give my all,” he explained.

Espí concluded his brief interview with praise for his new teammates.

“It’s incredible. It’s my first match, and I’ve only been training with them for a day. I need to get a feel for things, and I’m very happy,” he said.
