Bauza was an Emmy Award-winning actor best known for voicing the Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. The actor has sadly died at the age of 46. Bauza’s family confirmed his passing in a statement shared on his official Instagram account. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Bauza’s cause of death was hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

Throughout his career, Bauza became particularly well known for his work on Warner Bros.’ Looney Tunes. He spent years voicing some of the property’s most famous characters, following in the footsteps of another legendary actor, Mel Blanc, who also portrayed several characters from the iconic animated franchise.

Bauza played way more Looney Tunes characters than just Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. The star also voiced Tweety, Porky Pig, Marvin the Martian, Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd, Pepé Le Pew, and Road Runner. His ability to take on so many different roles made him an important part of the long-running franchise’s history.

Bauza was in several major projects of the franchise, such as Looney Tunes Cartoons, Bugs Bunny Builders, and the 2021 movie Space Jam: A New Legacy. He was also featured in Coyote vs. Acme, which premiered on August 28, 2026.

Coyote vs. Acme was originally postponed by Warner Bros. Discovery in 2023, which triggered a lot of criticism from both audiences and industry professionals. Bauza was among those who publicly supported its release, even using Daffy Duck’s voice to advocate for the project during the 2024 Annie Awards. The movie was eventually acquired by Ketchup Entertainment and finally got released in theaters.
