EPL table: Saka nets winner as Arsenal go joint-top with Man City

Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the match as Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 1-0 in the Premier League on Monday night.

The Gunners had lost 2-1 at Villa Park last season and arrived in the Midlands looking to exact revenge.

Mikel Arteta’s men opened their campaign with a 3-0 thrashing of Coventry City, but had to battle for maximum points against Villa.

The first half ended without goals, as both sides failed to record any shot on target.

Saka bundled home the winner after a fine move down the left side of attack.

Arsenal are now joint-top of the Premier League table with Manchester City and are only second by goals difference.
