EPL: Guardiola planning shock Man City return

Former Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola is planning a shock return to the Etihad in a show of support.

The UK Mirror reports that Guardiola is expected to attend City’s next home game.

Enzo Maresca’s men will host Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on October 14.

It’s understood that Guardiola has informed top officials at the club that he would like to “be with his people.”

This comes in a week when City were found guilty of all charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations between 2009 and 2018 by an independent commission.

City continue to maintain their innocence and lodged an appeal on Friday.

Guardiola left the club in the summer after a decade in charge, during which he won 20 trophies.

The Spaniard was in charge during the four years that the investigation into City’s books lasted.
