Morgan Rogers gave the Blues a very early lead against the champions.

But the Gunners fought back to record a third consecutive league win this season, thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard.

Rogers’ early strike meant Chelsea become the first team in Premier League history to score in the first five minutes of each of their opening three matches.

Xabi Alonso’s took the lead after one minute through Joao Pedro in the 3-2 victory at Fulham.

Chelsea also went in front early as they beat Brighton 4-3 at Stamford Bridge, with Romeo Lavia poking the ball over the line.
