This season’s Premier League entered its second game week on Friday, with Manchester City travelling to Crystal Palace.

It ended in a comfortable 4-1 win for Enzo Maresca’s men at Selhurst Park.

There will be more matches across the UK this weekend as teams begin to find their feet in this campaign.

So, which fixtures can we expect to produce upsets?

  1. Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest: Andoni Iraola was a minute away from beginning his Liverpool reign with a defeat at Newcastle. The Reds were subpar at St James’ Park and didn’t play well. Forest will provide another stern test at Anfield on Saturday and could leave with something.

  2. Man Utd vs Ipswich: Michael Carrick began his tenure as United’s permanent manager with a shock 2-0 defeat at Hull City. They lacked hunger and ideas against the Tigers. this weekend, United will host another newly promoted side in Ipswich, who will be desperate to also get points off them.

  3. Chelsea vs Brighton: Despite defeating Fulham 3-2 in their first game, Chelsea were far from impressive. Their attack looked bright at times, but the defence was as porous as we know it to be. The visitors to Stamford Bridge this weekend will be a Brighton team that beat Aston Villa 4-0 last week.

  4. Aston Villa vs Arsenal: The Premier League champions have begun the season in confident fashion. Mikel Arteta’s men have beaten Manchester City and Coventry 3-0 each. They travel to face a Villa team who were hammered 4-0 in their opening game. Although many people expect another three points, it could be a tough one.
