Enes Freedom wanted to be part of a WNBA game.

Identifying as a woman merely to ragebait actual professional basketball players, Freedom arrived at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena ready to make a scene.

In the second half, he found a willing partner in Sky point guard Natasha Cloud.

With 1:22 remaining in the third quarter, Freedom taunted Cloud — an outspoken gay player — from his seat on the baseline under the Indiana basket. The exchange saw many of Cloud’s teammates scramble to hold her back, and Freedom was ejected from the arena.

The Fever eventually won, 113-90.

“I just got kicked out of a @WNBA game for supporting WOMEN!” Freedom complained on X.

Freedom this month “declared” for the 2027 WNBA Draft. He is one of three former NBA players — the others being Larry Sanders and Royce White — to “challenge” the WNBA’s rules on transgender women playing in the league.

Freedom has been unleashed on an unsuspecting public in the wake of Fever guard Sophie Cunningham’s comments about transgender athletes and “protecting young girls” from sharing a locker room with biological men.

There are zero transgender athletes competing in the WNBA. As of last January, there were fewer than 50 transgender athletes competing across all sports in the NCAA.

But Cunningham’s comments — which she has since tried and failed to minimize — have started a firestorm of controversy and welcomed bad-faith actors like Freedom into the fold to try to harm the WNBA’s product.

Cloud has had an eventful week. She publicly condemned young men who are alleged to have thrown sex toys onto the court in WNBA games — most recently, during the Atlanta Dream‘s game in Los Angeles against the Sparks — before her verbal confrontation with Freedom.
