Eguma appointed Buffles Du Borgou head coach

Benin Republic club Buffles du Borgou have announced the appointment of Stanley Eguma as their new head coach, DAILY POST reports.

Eguma will lead Buffles du Borgou for the upcoming season in the Benin Ligue 1.

The veteran tactician is one of the most experienced coaches in the Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL.

The former U-23 Eagles assistant coach guided Rivers United to win the NPFL title in the 2021/22 season.

Eguma’s eight-year spell at Rivers United made him the longest-serving coach in the NPFL during that period.

The CAF A license holder previously managed nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba.

It’s the first time the former Dolphins coach will be managing a club outside Nigeria.

Buffles du Borgou will be hoping the Nigerian coach can build a competitive squad capable of challenging for domestic honours.
