Paulo Dybala‘s future at Roma is increasingly close: his contract renewal has been on the table for weeks, and any moment could be the right one for it to be made official.

La Joya is therefore ready to begin the second chapter of his adventure with the Giallorossi.

According to Corriere dello Sport, an agreement between Paulo Dybala and Roma is now close, despite doubts raised in recent days about the contract’s duration. The new agreement is expected to include a one-year extension, with a unilateral option for a further season in favor of the club.

The final details regarding bonuses, contractual conditions, and the salary adjustment requested by the Argentine remain to be finalized. The negotiations were not easy.

The counter-offer received from Roma prompted Dybala to take a few days to reflect in Argentina with his family, especially to evaluate a contract duration deemed shorter than expected.

His permanence, however, was never really in question. Also weighing in on the decision was the trust of Gian Piero Gasperini, who considers Dybala a key figure in the new Roma.

La Joya appreciated the coach’s appreciation and decided to accommodate the club. He is expected in the capital in five days with his family: the goal is to return to Trigoria with the renewal already finalized and the contract still to be signed.

According to Il Tempo, the signature could even arrive as early as next week.
