Draymond Green admits he’s never seen Steph Curry do what Damian Lillard just achieved

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green had to make an honest reflection about Steph Curry after watching Damian Lillard’s incredible feat in a year off with an injury.

Lillard tore his Achilles in April 2025 and will return to the court after an 18-month absence this season.

The Portland Trail Blazers star made 1,110 shots in 1,168 attempts in three-point shooting drills over the last 12 months, something that Green admitted he has not even seen Curry do.

On the latest episode of the Draymond Green show, Green admitted he has never seen anyone, including Steph, shoot the way Lillard has over the offseason. He also did say he doesn’t care to see Curry replicate the feat in real-time either.

“I can’t say that I’ve ever seen anyone hit 1,100 out of 1,168. I’m also not about to sit there and watch Steph shoot 1,100 shots.”

Green then warned the league about the version of Lillard we might see this season, especially after his legs get used to the NBA regular season after a long absence.

“He is going to have to get his legs under him for sure coming back, but when he does, I don’t think the league is ready to see the type of shooting display that Dame is about to put on.”

Lillard’s practice shooting achievement was tracked and shared on social media with the Blazers, proving that these makes came as part of shooting drills and not standstill open jumpers alone.

While NBA game pace is an entirely different beast to manage, especially with elite defenders on your tail, this level of shooting efficiency is a great sign for the Blazers, especially with a 36-year-old Lillard.

Matching Curry’s volume and efficiency in full-speed NBA games won’t be easy, as Steph is coming off averaging 26.6 points on 39.3% from three (11.3 attempts per game).

Lillard played 58 games and averaged 24.9 points on 36.7% from three (9.0 attempts per game) in his last full season in 2024-25 with the Milwaukee Bucks.
