DR Congo comes into the match full of belief after pulling off a significant upset by holding Portugal to a 1-1 draw in their opening game. The Leopards showed great determination to reach the tournament, having defeated Jamaica 1-0 after extra time in the intercontinental playoffs.

Their pre-tournament friendly results were inconsistent, including a goalless draw against Denmark and a 2-1 defeat to Chile. However, their defensive organization continues to be a major strength.

DR Congo has a fully fit squad available. Coach Sebastien Desabre confirmed that there are no injury issues within the team.

Following their strong result against Portugal, the Leopards are expected to adopt a defensive 5-3-2 formation designed to frustrate their opponents.

Cedric Bakambu will lead the attack alongside Yoane Wissa, who scored the crucial equalizer in their last match and is currently in excellent form.

On the flanks, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Arthur Masuaku will operate as wing-backs, contributing both defensively and during counter-attacks.

Captain Chancel Mbemba will marshal the defense and organize the backline. In midfield, Samuel Moutoussamy will focus on breaking up play and disrupting Colombia’s rhythm.

Desabre’s game plan revolves around staying compact, absorbing pressure, and launching quick counter-attacks when opportunities arise.
