Dovbyk seals loan move to Bologna from Roma
Syndicated reporting provided by Stats Perform and reviewed by the SoccerNews editorial team.
Artem Dovbyk has joined Bologna on a season-long loan from Roma, following Santiago Castro’s move in the opposite direction.
Roma announced earlier on Thursday that they had signed Castro in a reported €35m move, with Dovbyk’s deal following shortly behind.
The Ukrainian will join Bologna for the 2026-27 campaign, and the club will have the option to make the transfer permanent for a further €18m next summer.
Dovbyk joined Roma from Girona in August 2024 and finished that campaign as the club’s top scorer in all competitions, netting 17 goals in 45 appearances.
However, he struggled for fitness in 2025-26, playing just 18 games in total and scoring just three times.
Dovbyk will be the first Ukrainian to play for Bologna in their history.
