Dodge’s NASCAR Return Could Shake Up the 2027 Cup Series: Who Will Get the Seats?

· · 1 min read

Dodge is preparing for a highly anticipated return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027, and one of the biggest questions surrounding the comeback is which drivers will get the chance to represent the manufacturer.

Kaulig Racing is expected to lead Dodge’s return with a two-car full-time program, but the possibility of a third entry for select races has added even more intrigue to the situation.

Two names immediately stand out: AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon.

Both drivers are already connected to Kaulig Racing, making them natural candidates to lead the organization’s new Dodge program. Allmendinger brings years of Cup Series experience, while Dillon has continued to establish himself as a dependable presence in NASCAR’s top division.

However, could Dodge have another surprise waiting in the wings?

Brad Keselowski is an interesting name to consider. The 2012 Cup Series champion won Dodge’s last championship before the manufacturer left NASCAR after the 2012 season. A reunion would create a major storyline, although there is no confirmation that Keselowski is being seriously considered.

The possibility of a third Dodge entry also opens the door for another driver to get an opportunity, potentially in major races such as the Daytona 500.

With so many questions still surrounding the lineup, NASCAR fans have plenty of reasons to keep an eye on Kaulig Racing as the 2027 season approaches.
