Dodgers Walk Off Angels After RokiThe Los Angeles Dodgers walked off the Los Angeles Angels in the bottom of the ninth inning thanks to a Freddie Freeman home run.

The Dodgers and Angels were locked into a surprising pitcher’s duel, with Roki Sasaki shutting down the Angels and Reid Detmers, a lefty, dominating vs. the LA lineup.

Sasaki had seven shutout innings with 10 strikeouts, using his splitter to great effect for a great, long outing. However, the offense could not support him in the victory.

The Dodgers turned to Edgardo Henriquez for the eighth inning and then Tanner Scott for the ninth inning, with Blake Treinen coming in after.

The bullpen held it down well enough to keep the game tied at zero. They did not let Sasaki down, who deserves a ton of praise for his improvements after a horrible spring training period and a rocky start ot the season.

The offense, on the other hand, struggled to put together much of anything all game long until Freeman crushed a pitch out of the park — sparking memories of the 2024 and 2025 World Series.

Freeman hit the ball 105.8 MPH off his bat, with the ball going 404 feet. He has been one of the best hitters for the Dodgers recently, really picking up his hitting after a slow start, results-wise.

The first baseman has been crushing the ball all season long, but recently his results have been improving, and he is quieting doubters.

Adding all of his clutch moments as a Dodger, Freeman is already one of the most clutch players in the franchise’s history, delivering in the postseason and regular season when the team needs him most.

His swing is so pure, and his bat-to-ball skills make him a constant threat to get a hit, sometimes even home runs.
