Do the Brewers play tonight? Next game, schedule, record, standings
The Milwaukee Brewers are in the home stretch of the 2026 season with just over two weeks left before the playoffs.
They’ll clinch their eighth playoff berth in the last nine years with their next win, and after an electrifying three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs this week, the Brewers (91-56) are closing in on a fourth consecutive National League Central Division championship.
The Brewers’ pursuit of the No. 1 overall seed in the postseason also continues as they look to maintain the best record in baseball – a distinction the team has had over the last month.
But before their final push, they’ll get a much-deserved day off on Thursday, Sept. 10, after playing 16 games in 16 days.
Following the Brewers’ off day, their homestand will resume on Friday, Sept. 11, with a series against the Cincinnati Reds before their final road trip of the season.
Here’s what to know about the Brewers’ schedule, their record, standings and a recent transaction:
Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers hits a three-run home run against the Chicago Cubs in the first inning at American Family Field on September 9, 2026 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Brewers went on to win 8-6.

The Brewers went 10-6 during their 16-games-in-16 days stretch, including going 5-2 over the Cubs during this span to win the season series with their rivals, 9-4.
The Brewers’ next game is Friday, Sept. 11, for the start of their three-game series against the Reds.
It’s the second straight weekend the Brewers are playing the Reds after dropping two of three in Cincinnati last weekend. The series also concludes a scheduling quirk where the Brewers played the Cubs and Reds in back-to-back series over the last two weeks.
The Brewers’ three-game series against the Reds is the penultimate home series of the season and precedes a three-city, nine-game road trip that takes them to Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Philadelphia.
Here’s the Brewers’ upcoming schedule:
