Detroit Pistons reach streaming agreement with DAZN

In addition to broadcasting for free on local TV, the Detroit Pistons will also stream games with an exclusive partner next season.

The Pistons announced Tuesday, Sept. 22 that DAZN is the team’s new direct-to-consumer streaming partner. Subscriptions are available at DAZN.com/Pistons and begin at $19.99 per month.

“We’re pleased to announce DAZN as our direct-to-consumer digital streaming partner, expanding the way fans can experience game broadcasts and connect with Pistons Basketball,” Pistons president of business operations Melanie Harris said in a press release. “Together with Scripps Sports’ free over-the-air broadcasts on The Spot – Detroit 20, our partnership with DAZN gives fans across the viewing region greater flexibility in how and where they watch Pistons games and connect with the team.”

In May, the Pistons reached a multi-year agreement with Scripps Sports to become the official lead broadcast home of the team starting with the 2026-27 preseason and continuing through the regular season. Games will air for free on WYMD-TV (Channel 20) in the Detroit market. It marks the first time since 2005 the team will shift to a primarily local production and broadcast.

In addition to the monthly pass, fans also will be able to purchase a season pass for $119.99. There are also ultimate packages available for $139.99 per season and $24.99 per month, respectively, that includes additional features including a one-time 15% discount on Pistons313Shop.com.
