Deestroying brings popular 1-on-1 football event back to Hampton

Football players from across Hampton Roads gathered in Hampton on Saturday for a chance to compete on a national stage as content creator, influencer and UFL player Deestroying brought his popular one-on-one tournament back to the Peninsula.

The event featured wide receivers and defensive backs facing off in high-stakes one-on-one matchups, with a $10,000 cash prize and valuable exposure on the line for competitors.

The field was packed throughout the day as athletes from around the region tested their skills against some of the area’s top talent.

Local quarterbacks played a key role in the competition, with Norfolk State quarterback Parker Lancaster and Landstown High School quarterback Anthony Turner among those throwing passes during the tournament.

Lancaster and Turner emerged as the final two quarterbacks remaining in the event, delivering accurate throws throughout the day. Turner, a 6-foot-5 four-star junior prospect, impressed spectators with several standout performances while leading receivers through the competition.

Saturday marked the third time Deestroying has brought his nationally recognized one-on-one tournament to Hampton. The social media star said Hampton Roads continues to be one of his favorite destinations for the event, citing the area’s football talent and enthusiastic support.

The tournament attracted athletes, fans and scouts alike, further highlighting Hampton Roads’ reputation as one of Virginia’s premier football hotbeds.
