Declan Rice, Palmer, Rashford replaced in England squad to face Spain, Czech Rep

Declan Rice, Marcus Rashford, Cole Palmer, Kobbie Mainoo and Tino Livramento have all been forced to withdraw from England’s squad for their upcoming Nations League fixtures.

James Garner and Morgan Gibbs-White have been called up as replacements.

The Three Lions are set to play Spain, the Czech Republic twice and Croatia.

Palmer was included in a 27-man squad after being left out of Thomas Tuchel’s 2026 World Cup squad.

However, The Athletic reports that it has been decided that Palmer will sit out England’s four fixtures over the course of an extended international break after picking up a “small injury”.

Manchester United duo, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford have also withdrawn amid doubts over their fitness, as has vice-captain Rice, despite the fact that the Arsenal midfielder completed the full 90 minutes against Brighton on Saturday.
