MADISON – Wisconsin has been especially busy on the recruiting trail this month, but it hadn’t made much headway at one of the game’s most important positions.

Edge rusher.

Of the Badgers’ first 19 recruits in the 2027 class, only one of them was targeted to play outside linebacker.  With their 20th known commit comes some help at the position.

Darin Graham, who attends Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, announced his commitment to Wisconsin June 7.  Mount Carmel also produced Badgers junior running back Darrion Dupree.

For those keeping track, Graham is the fifth of the six available targets from Wisconsin’s first round of official visits to give the program a commitment.

He shared his news on social media.

Here is what you need to know to the latest addition to Wisconsin’s 2027 class.

Graham is 6-foot-5 and 224 pounds. Rivals and 247sports list his weight at 218 pounds.

Mississippi and Purdue were also in Graham’s top three schools. He also announced offers from Kansas State, Minnesota, Kentucky, Georgia Tech and Oregon State.

247sports and Rivals lists Graham as a three-star recruit. He hasn’t been rated by ESPN.

Graham is lean compared to the Badgers’ other edge recruit Isaac Miller (6-5, 245). But that’s OK with Wisconsin. The team has a lot of different body types at the position, something the staff likes because of the various needs that can be addressed at the position depending on the opponent and situation.

Graham’s commitment was the second to become known June 7. Receiver Steele Harris announced about 30 minutes earlier. The additions to the Badgers class pushed it to No. 13 overall in 247sports’ ranking and fifth in the Big Ten. Rivals lists UW No. 22 overall and have it ninth in the Big Ten.
