Dana White’s Contender Series Week 8 wrapped up on Tuesday, and the UFC has some new additions. Only four fights got underway, with the winner from each handed contracts by the bosses.
George Staines lived up to the hype and put on a show as he became the first-ever fighter to get a slam knockout in DWCS history. Aieza Bertolso showed exactly why she was a heavy favorite with a slick submission victory.
Adama Diop failed to impress Dana White, but was given the opportunity to represent Senegal on the biggest stage. Ian Escuza overcame a controversial finish and a strong plea from Mick Maynard to force his way into the UFC.
