Dana White reportedly snubbed by The Rock and Adam Sandler after UFC White House invites

Several high-profile figures have reportedly turned down invitations to attend UFC 250: Freedom at the White House.

The event is set for next Sunday, June 14, and is expected to draw a host of top fighters to Washington D.C.

Ilia Topuria and Alex Pereira are set to headline the action, with both fighters appearing on the White House lawn.

Instead of the usual fan-packed arena, this one will feature celebrities, dignitaries from around the world, and military personnel. But not everyone who got an invite chose to accept it.

The Rock and other stars reportedly turned down Dana White’s UFC White House invite

During the build-up to UFC Freedom 250, Dana White mentioned that he, President Donald Trump, and TKO executive chairman Ari Emanuel were each responsible for filling a portion of the 4,000 available tickets.

White had around 300 tickets to give out and sent invitations to several high-profile figures. One of those names was Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Johnson has been a familiar face at UFC events over the years. He even presented the BMF title to Jorge Masvidal in 2019 and currently serves on the board of TKO.

However, Vanity Fair reported that Johnson wasn’t alone in declining the invitation. Adam Sandler, Jared Leto, and Mario Lopez also reportedly chose not to attend.

“When you have 300 tickets, who do you give a s— about that you would actually want there?” White said regarding his guest list during a recent interview with Forbes.

“Who are celebrities you would invite? … If you look at my celebrity invite list, it’s a handful. I didn’t invite a bunch of celebrities.”

White said that his focus was less on star power than on people who genuinely cared about being there for the event itself:

According to an article in Time, Guy Ritchie and Tom Brady are among those who may attend on June 14.
