The case was filed by APC senatorial aspirant Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi against the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Senator Sahabi Ya’u, who was declared the winner of the primary election.

During Friday’s court session, both the plaintiff and the defendants adopted their final written addresses.

After reviewing the submissions, the trial judge, Justice Hassan Dikko, adjourned the case and fixed August 31, 2026, for judgment.
