Could the Vikings trade away WR Jauan Jennings before the deadline?
The Minnesota Vikings are now sitting at 6-1 and are atop the NFC North despite losing in Week 8 to the Detroit Lions. That loss exposed the team, though, as they showed that despite how good their defense is, they cannot do everything for this team.
Luckily for them, the trade deadline appears to be active, which could give the Vikings a chance to acquire some season-changing talent.
Ahead of what could be a stacked trade deadline on November 10, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler shared some info as to what he is hearing regarding players. One of the players is the Vikings’ own Jauan Jennings. He has not been used much this year, which could be why he is finding himself being mentioned in trade talks.
Fowler shared, “The Vikings’ free agent addition is not a focal point of the offense and is considered a trade candidate leaguewide. But he did catch two passes for 34 yards Sunday against the Colts for a Minnesota passing game that’s not exactly thriving right now. Jennings, who’s on a one-year deal, could prove a low-cost option for teams looking to add to their receiver room. The 49ers are an obvious fit.”
The Vikings would be wise to move on from him if this is their route forward while fixing the offense.
