Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly Anambra State University (ANSU), has opened applications for postgraduate admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Suitably qualified candidates can apply for Postgraduate Diploma, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy programmes.

COOU offers postgraduate programmes through faculties and departments across the university.
Applicants should choose the programme that matches their qualification and academic plan.
COOU Postgraduate Diploma Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the Postgraduate Diploma programme must meet the matriculation requirement of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University or any other university recognised by the COOU Senate.
Applicants with at least a Third Class degree in any field can apply.
Candidates who hold good grades in accepted non-first degree qualifications may also apply; such qualifications include HND, FIRST, HMLT, ACA, AIB, and related qualifications accepted by COOU.
Candidates with Lower Credit must have at least five years of relevant work experience before they can receive consideration for admission.
COOU M.Sc Admission Requirements
Candidates applying for the Master of Science programme must meet the matriculation requirements for individual universities.
For candidates who obtained their O’Level after 2013, the requirement includes five O’Level credits with English Language and Mathematics.
Applicants must also have at least Second Class Lower Division from an approved university.
Candidates with a Postgraduate Diploma at Credit level pass can apply, which means 3.0 on a 5.0-point scale or 60% on weighted percentage average.
Candidates with Professional Master’s Degree must also meet the stated O’Level and degree requirements.
COOU Ph.D Admission Requirements
Candidates applying for the Doctor of Philosophy programme must meet the stated O’Level rule where applicable.
Those who obtained their O’Level after 2013 must have five credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and one Science subject at O’Level, or as approved by the Board of School of Postgraduate Studies.
Applicants must also hold a Master’s Degree with a CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 5.0-point scale or 60% on weighted average.
